Failure
I'm back!
I officially went back to work a week ago after maternity leave and has it been a whirlwind. This last week was not the best one to go back to work. Eric was working a funny schedule which left him gone every night and sleeping most evenings. I was in charge of mutual on Wednesday, and my work had a car show on Thursday. Needless to say I'm still feeling a little tired after that one.
I've decided I need to quit starting more projects until I finish the ones I have started so here's my blogger motivation. My goals I to pick one room a week and finish decorating and cleaning it. This week I've decided to work on Blakes room. Mostly because it's the closest to being finished and I figure a victory will be good for the first week. I have it mostly decorated, I need to:
-Hang Curtains
-Get blinds
-Figure out what I want to do with the light
-Vacuum, Sweep, and Dust
-Fold all the clean cloths in the babys crib
(We have designated the baby crib as the clean laundry place because it's the only place that does not have dog hair on it on a regular basis)
After I get this accomplished I will be posting pictures of the finished product. I am getting so excited to get this going!
To finish it off here's a Blake picture:
(This is Eric teaching Blake how to pet Rosco)
The Stork Has Landed
I'm not exactly sure that is the way the stork thing works, but oh well. I've been pretty MIA from blogging for quite sometime now, and I thought it was because I didn't have much to say, but I think I didn't realize how bad I felt until I got this kid out of me.
Blake was born 6/7/2013 which I think is super cool because it's a math equation just like my birthday. If anyone can figure out how to make 12/6/85 into an equation let me know so Eric can join the club. Anyways I had a great experience with the Salem Hospital and completely recommend it for birthing a child. I also very much recommend an epidural, those things are amazing!!! Anyways what you all really want to be looking at is pictures of him so here they go:
Time to Relax
So I have decided it's a great thing that I work all day and stay busy most nights. My inner urge to bake awesome extravagent meals is hinder by being to tired by the time I get home. This has helped with weight gain during pregnancy. It also helps that most of the time what I crave is vegetables and chicken. I've been on a brussell sprout and potato kick lately. Here are the pictures that I love:
Because I've been so tired lately I found it hard to get up for swimming in the mornings. So I had to think of a reward so I've decided that I have to go swimming everyday in order to earn "donut and Sobe Fridays". This last week it worked so hopefully it will continue to do so.
I got to go shopping last weekend for the banquet that is coming up for my work. My mom got this really cute dress and shoes and is going to look great! I got a shirt and am going to wear a black skirt with it. I need to go shopping for some new shoes so I look great!
Today I'm getting some home stuff done since this week has been crazy we've been having some car issues which has really thrown off my game.
Drumroll Please
I feel like I'm always having to update mostly because I fail to make time to blog, but I do think oh that would make a great blog topic I just never do it.
Christmas went great Eric got me a kindle fire. I love it! We had the oppertunity to go out and play paintball with Lacy and Mike which was so much fun, we just have to find a place that is a little less shrubby.
We started school again and it has been very easy so far I have a Saturday class starting February 16th though so no sleeping in for me for five weeks. That seems like an eternity. Not that I sleep that late, but it's nice not to have to be anywhere.
We celebrated New Years with the family, which was fun it was very quiet because the Robinsons weren't down, but we played games and had way to much food!
Eric and I also found out I am pregnant. (yes it is his child) Well we've actually known for quite a while now we just announced it:
This is a picture of the picture we handed out so sorry if the quality is terrible. (on the right are little baby shocks)
We also already found out the sex. We had a what's it going to be barbeque at my parents house, and announced it with these little cupcakes. I confused people with the pink lemonade cupcakes, but look at the filling (drumroll please):
It's a boy!
We are very excited that it's a boy. Eric is ecstatic that it is a boy.
Disclaimer: If you are reading this and finding this out for the first time and you want to congratulate us we would love to hear it. If you want to tell us about your nasty pregnancy stories and trauma that incurred please keep it to yourself. I haven't puked with this pregnancy and I don't want to start after hearing your story. Thank you!
Crazy!
So this has been an absolutely CRAZY couple of months! Blogging is definently the first thing that goes. I've had a few weekend work events which have kept me really busy, but this whole going to school and working thing wears me out! I may have mentioned before that Eric and I decided to go to school full time and work full time and see how it goes, by the time we realized it was terrible it was too late! So we had to stick it out.
On top of going to school and working we were trying to get the house ready for our Thanksgiving visitors. A few weeks before we Thanksgiving we realized that there was no way that was going to happens so my Dad helped us out and it's a good thing he did because when everyone got here it looked awesome! Here's a sneak peak, but I'll do a full post on the bathroom later, before and after shots you will be shocked!
This last week has been a whirlwind! Everyone came into town, which meant staying up late and waking up early. We celebrated Turkey Day with a group of around 20 people. I wish I had a picture of it, but I never remember my camera.
The next day we got family pictures then shopped to our hearts content. Eric and I took advantage of the ammo sales, which were awesome this year! Then we headed over and got catch phrase and some pillows. I didn't see a lot of what I was looking for this year for some reason.
The next day we woke up early to prepare for Melissas baby shower. For those of you that don't know my sister Melissa is pregnant with baby #4! We don't have a gender yet, but wanted to be able to have a shower with everyone together so we went gender nuetral.
(The baby isn't here yet, I'm not quite sure whose this one is)
That afternoon we had Jadas Birthday party with an awesome cake I found on pinterest and let me tell you it was awesome!
The next day we to church then went shooting! So of course we had to take a family gun picture. (Don't worry the kids guns were unloaded and watched closely!)
Then it was back to work for me! Now I'm heading into finals week a little behind, but I'll catch up. Then we will have 3-4 week Christmas break! What I'm looking forward to most is being able to finish some of the projects I have halfway started and organizing the cupboards. All of the cupboards started getting mixed up when we started construction in February so it's been a while!
Blessing: Having a wonderful fun family to share Thanksgiving with!
