Crazy!

So this has been an absolutely CRAZY couple of months!  Blogging is definently the first thing that goes.  I've had a few weekend work events which have kept me really busy, but this whole going to school and working thing wears me out!  I may have mentioned before that Eric and I decided to go to school full time and work full time and see how it goes, by the time we realized it was terrible it was too late! So we had to stick it out.
On top of going to school and working we were trying to get the house ready for our Thanksgiving visitors.  A few weeks before we Thanksgiving we realized that there was no way that was going to happens so my Dad helped us out and it's a good thing he did because when everyone got here it looked awesome! Here's a sneak peak, but I'll do a full post on the bathroom later, before and after shots you will be shocked!

This last week has been a whirlwind!  Everyone came into town, which meant staying up late and waking up early.  We celebrated Turkey Day with a group of around 20 people.  I wish I had a picture of it, but I never remember my camera.

The next day we got family pictures then shopped to our hearts content.  Eric and I took advantage of the ammo sales, which were awesome this year!  Then we headed over and got catch phrase and some pillows.  I didn't see a lot of what I was looking for this year for some reason.

The next day we woke up early to prepare for Melissas baby shower.  For those of you that don't know my sister Melissa is pregnant with baby #4!  We don't have a gender yet, but wanted to be able to have a shower with everyone together so we went gender nuetral.

(The baby isn't here yet, I'm not quite sure whose this one is)

That afternoon we had Jadas Birthday party with an awesome cake I found on pinterest and let me tell you it was awesome!

The next day we to church then went shooting!  So of course we had to take a family gun picture.  (Don't worry the kids guns were unloaded and watched closely!)

Then it was back to work for me!  Now I'm heading into finals week a little behind, but I'll catch up.   Then we will have 3-4 week Christmas break!  What I'm looking forward to most is being able to finish some of the projects I have halfway started and organizing the cupboards.  All of the cupboards started getting mixed up when we started construction in February so it's been a while!

Blessing:  Having a wonderful fun family to share Thanksgiving with!

First Gun Shooting Competition

So I entered my first gun shooting competition this last weekend.  I originally thought that my first one would be a pistol shooting thing, but this one was a clay shooting.  If you've never gone before I highly recomend it.  My company had a competition at Mitchels Clay Shooting in Gervais.  I guess you can go out there and shoot anytime you want.  I did pretty good for my first time, I beat about half of the guys I went with.

Schools in for the Winter!

So sadly enough I'm not sure I have much in the way of pictures for this post.  I haven't posted in so long, and I still didn't take any pictures.

Eric and I have just started school again and it feels ok getting back into the swing of things.  We took the summer off and it was amazing, but I feel like I should have probably got a little more done around the house.  We finally planted some flowers in the front garden and I think it feels a little homey.  We also are coming closer to finishing the bathroom.  We finally got the toilet and sink back in which is sooo much better!  Going out back was just terrible.  (just kidding we have a half bath that is fully functional)

We need to get a ton more done before Thanksgiving because my sisters will all be in town and we are housing a couple of them.

So for school I'm taking Economics, Marketing, and Speech.  I don't start Speech until October 9th so that gives me a couple weeks to get a homework routine in before I start going to class on Tuesdays and Thursdays which will be nice!  I've already started reading in the books and I think this term will be one of the most useful and interesting terms I've taken in a long time.

Our garden was a huge success and we almost have a bucket of tomatoes on our kitchen table.  I love tomatoes, but I wish they froze.  We got a little stock pile of fruits and veggies in the freezer for the winter which will be awesome!

Other than that there is not much going on.  Oregon summer was better than last year, but it seems to get later every year.  We were swimming a couple weeks into September and it was hot enough.   I got a fantastic haircut from Divinity Salon in Stayton I really recomend her, she's super friendly and does a great job!

Blessing: A wonderful Husband.

Guns, Sun and Puking

So a little update on our garden.  It's getting huge we have cucumbers, lettuce, beans, and zuccini that are already harvested or at least in the process and lots to go!  Our tomato plant is still going crazy, but no red ones yet.  We have a few of these little guys which were so excited about:

This last couple of weekends we've been booked.  A couple weekends back Eric shot in the glock competition, which I should have done.  If I would have known it would be so mello I would have although I probably need quite a bit of practice to do as well as he did.

Then from the competition we went camping with a good friend and her coworkers down at Waterloo.  If you've never been there it's pretty cool.  There are actual campsite and it's right by the river and a good floating spot.  I didn't manage to snag any good pictures of the group, but I did get a pic of Erics awesome packing skills.  (keep in mind this is after camping not before)

Then a couple weekends ago I went fishing with Eric, Dad and my nephew Denver.  I caught a fish but only got to cast out 5 times before getting sick.  Then I spent the next 5 hours getting sick.  I really thought I was going to die out there and considered jumping ship and trying to swim to the land, but my better judgement got the best of me.  I have also decided that this will count for my riding amusement park rides until you get sick goal because I never want to chance feeling that sick again.

This last weekend we went camping with Morgan and Kevin and there baby, but Eric has those pictures and I decided I needed to blog before I forgot to.  Then we got a ton done around the house including getting the tile laid in the bathroom or mostly laid.  I will update you with total bathroom pictures when it's done, as long as it turns out great, but after seeing it I think it will it definently looks way better than it started.
Blessing:  Getting a slight tan (:

Update July 24th

So much has been going on lately it's hard take the time to sit down and blog about it.
At work we had our car show.  Huge success it was a charity for Habitat for Humanity and so much fun!

This was one of my favorit cars!
The next night we went to Joe Diffie.  Eric has the pics on his phone, so the only one that I have is Eric chillin:

It was awesome I didn't realize how many of his songs I knew until we were at the concert.
This last weekend I went swimming all day up at my sisters house.  Then we visited my mother at the hospital.  She got hip surgery this last weekend so I can see lots of shopping in our month or two distant future.

We are also working on remodeling our bathroom still it's a work in progress, but its going to be awesome! I'll post pictures of that when were done.
Blessing:  A few days of Sunshine.

Missouri Bound

So this last week I was able to spend the whole week over in Missouri.  For those of you that didn't know my nephew was diagnosed a couple months ago with congestive heart failure.  We had planned a trip to go hang out, but then the day before we were going to fly out he got a heart!  It made the trip that much better!

So the second day we were there we decided to walk over to the free zoo.  Everyone told us it was right across the street, but it was definently multiple streets.

( Notice Erics awesome matching cloths)
We had barely started on our trek when we saw this and who could resist.
Then we stubbled upon a few museums and the Korean War Memorial.

When we finally made it to the zoo.  (I swear it took a good hour to get there)  We decided we wanted to see all the different exhibits.  My favorite is ALWAYS the elephants.  I'm not sure why I've always been fascinated with them.  These ones had a little one to which made it even more fun!

That night or the next we headed up to the rooftop garden at the hospital.  It's amazing up there if I could decorate my yard like that I totally would.  They have lond distance viewers that you can see the city with, fish ponds, tons of flowers and trees, and a big water fountain ball.  Eric and I posed in a little nook that overlooks the city.

It looks like were on the ground, but were actually about 8 floors up.  Luckily that same night they had a band playing.  It was mostly childrens music, but it was pretty cool.

The next day we visited the Missouri Arch.  It is a monument to commemerate the gateway to the west.

We rode the tram to the top.  It's really weird there basically steel balls that they cram five people in you can't even sit up straight because the ceiling is so low.  It's very creeky so you feel like at any second you could fall to your death.  Here are some views from the top.

This was the ugly view because lets face it the Mississippi River is pretty gross and brown, but I might just be spoiled coming from Oregon.

This side faces the city so you can see everything.  The coolest part is that the way the glass is set you can stick your head out and look straight down!  It's so cool.

We were thinking of going to Six Flags, but got to busy spending time with these two:

It's amazing what doctors can do these days!  Just ten years ago none of this would have been possible.  Sitting at the childrens hospital you feel this sense of wanting to do more with your life.  Your realize how there are millions of people who are not as blessed as you are and it really puts things into perspective.

Blessing of the week:  Health.

Marti Gra and Inlaws

This last week has been so busy there hasn't even been time to breathe! On Thursday we had a NAWIC bosses night Marti Gras Party Where I got to show off my fabulous Cowboy boots:

Then Friday we had an event at the Forsons to send Sarai off on her mission(she is the middle one):
Then we got to spend the weekend up at Erics Moms house. So Rosco got a constant playmate which he loved:
I have started reading a new book I can't remember the name, but its by Art Bobowitz. He recently came and spoke at a luncheon that I attended for work. Very interesting way to look at business and the work place. He looks at it in a spiritual sense, not religious spiritual, but human spirit. I recommend it. Blessing of the week: Actually liking my inlaws.

May 14th

No pictures this week because of a minor injury that left me down this whole weekend. I should have at least snapped some Mothers Day pictures after the great day we had visiting both Eric and mines family. So I've decided my goal for the week is to not drink any soda pop. I also want to exercise in some way everyday at lunch. Blessing: Having a wonderful family!

Honkey Tonk

This last week was full of events: Thursday we fixed our mailbox, so instead of it falling off all the time it's good to go:

Then Saturday Morning We went shooting up at Shelberg. I swear it had been over 8 months.
We went with our friends Emily and Kurt:
Then we had rodeo tickets that I won of the rodeo so we headed over to the Benton County Fairgrounds:
Unfortunately Eric is allergic to horses and so he had to leave before it even started. I think we'll have to visit an outdoor arena next time so he can actually watch the rodeo. Then yesterday we had a big family gathering Melissa and Ju-el came down and Lacy came into town. I did not take any pictures of that although I should have. Blessing: Being able to pay the bills.
